NBA Player Updates 7/10: Free Agent Signings, Off-Season Schedule and More
July 10, 2015
The NBA has been pretty crazy this past week, and there’s surely more to come as we inch closer to the training camp and preseason periods. That said, let’s visit with the headlines today and see who’s in the news.
Mavericks fans (and the franchise as a whole) are still fuming over this week’s DeAndre Jordan fiasco, but the team has already begun moving on.
The Mavericks put out a max offer to guard Wesley Matthews yesterday, which is four years at $70 million. That’s an increase over their original offer of four years and $57 million.
Matthews posted 15.9 PPG and 3.7 RPG in his 60 appearances last year in Portland.

The Thunder were active yesterday as well, re-signing forward Kyle Singler to a multi-year deal.
Reports put the deal in the five-year, $25 million range. Singler is coming off 80 appearances last year, where he averaged 6.0 PPG and 2.4 RPG.
The Lakers inked up Brandon Bass yesterday, but the terms of the deal weren’t immediately available.
Bass logged 10.6 PPG and 4.9 RPG in his 82 games during 2014-15.
The Suns got a hold of forward Mirza Teletovic yesterday, signing him to a one-year, $5.5 million deal.
The Nets rescinded their qualifying offer to Teletovic, so they can’t match the Suns’ offer.
Teletovic logged 8.5 PPG and 4.8 RPG averages in 40 games last year.
The Bucks and Wizards’ trade is now official. The Wizards will get Jared Dudley, while the Bucks will receive a second-rounder in an upcoming draft.
Dudley posted 7.2 PPG and 3.1 RPG in 72 games in 2014-15.
