NBA Player Updates 7/12: Free Agent Signings, Off-Season Schedule and More
July 12, 2015
Last week in the NBA was a pretty busy one, and this week is sure to have lots of interesting happenings out there. Let’s check out the headlines and see what’s going on today.
The Pacers and Timberwolves look like they’re going to be trading forwards. A report emerged yesterday that said Indy was going to be sending Damjan Rudez to Minnesota in exchange for Chase Budinger.
Budinger logged 6.8 PPG in around 19 MPG last year and showed some flashes down the stretch.
Rudez, meanwhile, posted 4.8 PPG in around 15 MPG in his rookie season as a Pacer in 2014-15.

It looks like the Knicks are bringing back center Lou Amundson. He’ll be with the team again in 2015-16 on a one-year deal for $1.65 million.
Amundson has played for 10 different teams in his NBA career and found some consistency with New York during 2014-15. He ended up getting into the starting lineup, logging 35 starts in his 41 games.
Amundson likely won’t be used so significantly this year, but his familiarity with the team and the offense could help him contribute a key reserve role.
Will Barton inked with the Nuggets yesterday. He’ll be back in town on a three-year deal worth around $11 million.
Barton came over from Portland last year in a trade. He averaged 11.0 PPG with 4.6 RPG and 1.9 APG during his 28 games.
Well, we all speculated on this occurrence, and it’s now come true. The Nets released PG Deron Williams yesterday, following the team’s inability to work out a trade for him.
Williams will likely sign his two-year, $10 million deal with the Mavericks tomorrow. He never quite reached his potential in Brooklyn, averaging just 13.0 PPG last year.
