NBA Player Updates 10/30: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
October 30, 2015
The NBA was relatively quiet last night, but we’ll be heading into the first weekend of the 2015-16 season with a lengthy set of games around the league. Let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the headlines as we await tip-offs.
Grizzlies-Pacers: The Grizzlies rode a big fourth quarter to a win against the Pacers last night in Indianapolis 112-103. Marc Gasol bagged a team-high 20 points (eight in the last four minutes alone) to help the team push over the top. Jeff Green also had 12 points, with six coming in those last four minutes.
This was a back-and-forth game, ultimately resulting in Memphis’ first win of the season. They had seven players in double-digit points.

Hawks-Knicks: Also getting their first win of the season were the Atlanta Hawks, who spoiled the Knicks’ home opener 112-101. Jeff Teague posted 23 points, while teammate Al Horford logged 21; the Knicks couldn’t find an answer for either player.
Paul Milsap put up a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds and Kyle Korver had a big 15 points with some sharp shooting.
Atlanta was up 30-20 after just 12 minutes.
Carmelo Anthony had another forgettable game on just 10-of-27 from the field.
Clippers-Mavericks: This was an interesting game, if only for the DeAndre Jordan storyline that surrounded it. On the court, the Clippers routed Dallas 104-88 at Staples Center.
Blake Griffin put up 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Jamal Crawford put up 15 points.
Jordan scored six, bagged 15 rebounds and blocked four shots. He had previously committed to Dallas in free agency this summer but changed his mind at the 11th hour to rejoin the Clippers.
