The San Antonio Spurs travel to The Garden to take on the Boston Celtics today.
The Spurs were able to register their first win of the season by crushing the Nets by 102-75 on Friday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Tim Duncan added 15 points and Manu Ginobili had 12 points as the Spurs overcame a slow start to cruise past the Nets in a romp. Newly acquired LaMarcus Aldridge scored just 10 points but filled the stat sheet with 11 rebounds, four assists and a block as he continues to find his way in the Spurs' offense.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are coming off their first loss of the season, falling to the Raptors by 113-103 on Friday. Isaiah Thomas led the team with 25 points and seven assists off the bench, while Avery Bradley chipped in with 13 points but the rest of the team really struggled as the Celtics shot just 37.6 percent from the field. It'll be interesting to see if coach Stevens changes up the lineup soon as Thomas has been on fire and his production is getting harder to ignore on the bench.
In ATS trends, the Spurs are 17-8 ATS in their last 25 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a win, while the Celtics are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a double digit loss at home and 1-5 ATS in their last six Sunday games.
Head to head, the Spurs are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 6-0-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Boston.
It's still very early in the season but I was very impressed by the way the Spurs looked in the second half of their win over the Nets, so I'm taking them to beat the Celtics who are still trying to work out their best lineup.
