The Charlotte Hornets play host to the Atlanta Hawks today at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
The Hawks and the Hornets will be meeting for the second game of a home and home set tonight after the Hawks won on Friday by 97-94. Kent Bazemore led the scoring with 19 points, Paul Millsap and Al Horford had 18 points each while Jeff Teague and Dennis Schroder added 14 points each as the Hawks came away with the narrow win at home. Kyle Korver sat out the game to rest his gimpy ankle but he is expected to be good to go tonight which pushes Schroder back to the bench where he will back up Teague. With the win, Atlanta improved to 2-1 on the season.

As for the Hornets, Nicolas Batum led the team with 14 points and 11 rebounds but committed seven turnovers while Kemba Walker and Marvin Williams added 13 points each. As a team, the Hornets shot just 40.9 percent from the field and could be in for a lineup change as both bench players Jeremy Lin and Jeremy Lamb outplayed starter PJ Hairston for the second straight game.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against the Eastern Conference, while the Hornets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 against the NBA Southeast.
Head to head, the Hawks are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 meetings overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings in Charlotte.
The Hawks were a little lucky to escape with the win on Friday as Walker missed on the three that would have forced overtime and I'm expecting a similar result with Korver back in the starting lineup.
