NBA Player Updates 11/1: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

We’ve got another busy day of matchups looming in the NBA, so there will be plenty to check out on the court. In the meantime, let’s visit the headlines in our daily wrap-up and find out what’s happening out there.
Knicks-Wizards: The Knicks have a winning record--it’s been quite a while since we’ve been able to say that. They’re now 2-1 thanks to a 117-110 win over the Wizards in Washington’s home opener last night.
Carmelo Anthony put up 37 points here, finally getting his shot going on 11-of-18 from the field.
This was a long game (2 hours, 38 minutes) and also a very physical one (62 fouls).

Warriors-Pelicans: The defending champion Warriors exploded in the third quarter 41-26 to take an eventual 134-120 win over the up-and-coming Pelicans last night.
Stephen Curry scored 53 points overall, with 28 points coming in that crucial third quarter. He sat for most of the fourth and was 8-of-14 from 3-point range with nine assists and four steals. Golden State is now unbeaten while the Pelicans haven’t won a game yet.
Grizzlies-Nets: The Grizzlies used some timely 3-point shooting to overtake the Nets last night in Memphis 101-91.
Mike Conley put up 22 points, with 4-of-7 coming from 3-point range. The team was 9-of-23 overall; Brooklyn made just 3-of-13.
Zach Randolph and Courtney Lee also helped out, each putting up 15 points. Randolph logged 13 rebounds as well.
Clippers-Kings: Blake Griffin was on fire last night against the Kings, putting up 37 points, nine rebounds and six assists. The result was a 114-109 win and a 3-0 start for the Clips.
J.J. Redick managed 23 points, while Chris Paul logged 17 points and 11 assists. It was L.A.’s fifth straight win against Sacramento and their 18th in the last 21.
