The Portland Trailblazers and the Minnesota Timberwolves collide at the Target Center tonight.
The Trailblazers started the season with so much promise when they beat the Pelicans in the season opener, but they've followed that up with consecutive losses to the Suns in back to back nights. Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 23 points and eight assists on Friday, Al-Farouq Aminu had 16 points and CJ McCollum added 15 points but defensively, there was just no stopping the Suns' Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight who combined for 60 points. The Blazers would go on to lose by 101-90 and fall to 1-2 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have kicked off their season with a couple wins and are coming off a dominant 95-78 win over the Nuggets. Andrew Wiggins had a nice game of 18 points while Ricky Rubio chipped in with 12 points and eight assists, but the night belonged to Karl-Anthony Towns who dominated with 28 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. It was an emotional win for Wolves who are playing with heavy hearts as they remember the late Flip Saunders.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 against the Western Conference and 0-7-1 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Wolves are 4-1 ATS in their last five against the Western Conference but just 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games.
Head to head, the Blazers are 35-17-1 ATS in the last 53 meetings overall and 15-5 ATS in the last 20 meetings in Minnesota.
I'd take the Blazers over the Wolves if this game was in Portland, but the Wolves have been one of the surprise packages to start the season and I love their chances of winning and covering the spread at home with the way they've been playing so far.
