The San Antonio Spurs travel to Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks tonight.
The Spurs will be going for a third straight win tonight after beating the Celtics 95-87 last night. LaMarcus Aldridge had his best game for his new team, pouring in 24 points, 14 rebounds and five assists while Kawhi Leonard chipped in with 19 points as the Spurs opened a double digit lead early in the game before escaping with a narrow win. The Spurs are still playing far from their best, but they'll be one of the toughest teams to beat once Aldridge really finds his feet in the offense.

Meanwhile, the Knicks have won two of their first three games and are coming off a nice 117-110 win over the Wizards. Carmelo Anthony dominated the game with 37 points on 11 of 18 shooting, including four of five from the three-point line while Langston Galloway chipped in with 14 points off the bench. New York has now won two road games which puts them just five road wins shot of last season's total.
In ATS trends, the Spurs are 7-0 ATS in their last seven against the Eastern Conference and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, while the Knicks are 1-5 ATS in their last six against the Western Conference and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Head to head, the Spurs are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in New York and the home team is 9-4-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall.
Ordinarily, I'd be all over the Spurs to come into town, take care of business and win by double digits in this spot, but the Knicks looked pretty god in their last win and I think they can at least stay within the number in this one, so I'll take the free points here.
