The San Antonio Spurs play host to the Charlotte Hornets tonight at the AT&T Center.
The Hornets started the season with three straight losses, but they're now going for a third straight win after blowing past the Mavericks in a 108-94 win on Thursday. Al Jefferson turned back the clock with a game-high 31 points on 15 of 18 shooting in just 27 minutes while Marvin Williams and Jeremy Lamb added 17 and 16 points respectively. Coming off a 130-105 win over the Bulls, you'd forgive the Hornets if they had a letdown against the Mavs, but instead they seem to be just finding their groove with Jefferson finally finding some form.

Meanwhile, the Spurs had their eyes on a fourth straight win on Wednesday, but their streak came to an abrupt end when they lost to the Wizards by 102-99 thanks to a three pointer by Bradley Beal with just 0.3 seconds left on the clock. Kawhi Leonard continued his hot start to the season with 23 points on 10 of 22 shooting while Tony Parker chipped in with 17 points, but the rest of the Spurs were off their game, especially on offense where they committed a season-high 20 turnovers. With the loss, San Antonio drops to 3-2 on the season and 2-2 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Hornets are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five against the Western Conference, while the Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 8-1 ATS in their last nine against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the Hornets are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings in San Antonio.
The Hornets could very well pull off the upset and keep their winning streak going, but I just think there's too much going for the Spurs as they're coming off a tough loss and will be well-rested since they haven't played since Wednesday. I'm taking the Spurs at home to win by double digits.
