The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Charlotte Hornets tonight at the Target Center.
The Hornets were looking for a third straight win on Saturday when they visited the Spurs, but instead they got crushed by 114-94 in a rout. Kemba Walker led the team with 27 points on 11 of 15 shooting but the Hornets needed more from Al Jefferson who put up just 13 points after pouring in 31 points on Thursday. It was always going to be tough trying to beat the Spurs in their own building, but the Hornets did look like pulling off the upset until the Spurs blew the game open with a 42-29 third quarter. With the loss, Charlotte drops to 2-4 on the season and 1-3 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have won their last two games and are coming off a thrilling 117-107 win at Atlanta. Andrew Wiggins scored a game-high 33 points on 15 of 22 shooting while Karl-Anthony Towns added 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Timberwolves stormed out to a 34-point lead before allowing the Hawks to come all the way back and take the lead themselves. Fortunately, the Wolves would steady the ship just in time and close the game with an 11-0 run. With the win, Minnesota improved to 4-2 on the season and a perfect 4-0 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Hornets are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Wolves are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a win and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Head to head, the Hornets are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and I think that will continue tonight as the Wolves have yet to win at home and could have heavy legs after such a big game last night.
