The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Oracle Arena to take on the undefeated Golden State Warriors tonight.
The Nets were able to win their first game of the season by beating the Rockets on Wednesday, but they fell back to Earth with a painful 111-109 defeat at Sacramento last night. Jarrett Jack led the Nets with 21 points and 12 assists, Brook Lopez added 17 points while Thaddeus Young had 16 points, but the Nets just had no answer for DeMarcus Cousins who torched them for 30 points in the second half to finish with 40 points. The Nets were actually up by as many as 11 points early in the third quarter but the Kings' combination of Rajon Rondo and Cousins proved too much in the second half. With the loss, Brooklyn drops to 1-8 on the season and 1-5 on the road.

Meanwhile, there is just no stopping the Warriors who extended their unbeaten start to the season to 10 games after blowing past the Timberwolves by 129-116 on Thursday. Stephen Curry was ridiculous once again, pouring in eight 3-pointers to finish with 46 points on 15 of 25 shooting and he had plenty of help as all five starters finished in double figures. Draymond Green racked up 23 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists while Klay Thompson added 15 points as the Warriors jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days rest, while the Warriors are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the Nets are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Golden State but the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
This game is hard to pick because the Warriors are obviously going to win, but the Nets could do just enough to get the backdoor cover. You can never feel too comfortable betting against the Warriors, especially at home, but I just get the feeling that the Nets can hang around just long enough to keep the score somewhat respectable.
