The Detroit Pistons roll into town to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center tonight.
The Pistons will be breathing a sigh of relief after they managed to avoid a fifth straight loss by beating the Cavaliers by 104-99 on Tuesday. Andre Drummond led the way with 25 points and 18 rebounds, Reggie Jackson added 23 points and 12 assits while Ersan Ilyasova added 20 points as the Pistons battled hard with the Cavs before closing the game on a 11-2 run. Coming off a loss to the Lakers, the Pistons really needed to steady the ship with a good win and they earned the win over the in form Cavs.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have lost five of their last six games and are coming off their first road loss of the season, a 104-101 overtime defeat at Orlando on Wednesday. Andrew Wiggins continued his torrid scoring run with 28 points, Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points while Ricky Rubio added eight points with 12 rebounds and 12 assists, but it still wasn't enough against the Magic who went ahead on the game winning 3-pointer from Evan Fournier with 3.1 seconds left in overtime. With the loss, Minnesota drop to 5-7 on the season and 5-1 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, while the Wolves are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the Pistons are 0-6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Minnesota.
Both of these teams actually matchup quite nicely on paper so this should be a close contest, but I have to give the edge to the Pistons who are coming off their best win of the season compared to the Wolves who are yet to win at home after five tries.
