The Portland Trailblazers travel to the Staples Center to battle the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
The Trailblazers were able to snap an ugly seven-game losing streak with an impressive 102-91 win over the Clippers on Friday. Damian Lillard led the way with 27 points and seven assists, CJ McCollum and Mason Plumlee added 18 points each while Ed Davis had a big game of 17 points and 15 rebounds as the Blazers simply outhustled the Clippers, especially on the boards where they grabbed a total of 17 offensive rebounds, 10 of which came just from Davis. It was an encouraging win and one they desperately needed to improve to 5-9 on the season and 3-3 at home.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have won just one of their last seven games and were beaten by the Raptors in a 102-91 defeat at home on Friday. Julius Randle had a nice double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, D'Angelo Russell added 17 points while Kobe Bryant chipped in with 10 points and five assists but despite showing plenty of fight in a promising first half against the Raptors, the Lakers fell away in a 53-41 second half that saw them drop to 2-10 on the season and 1-4 at home. On the bright side, Kobe mentioned in the post-game interview that his body felt great after playing a season-high 37 minutes which is good news.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team below .400 and 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 road games, while the Lakers are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games.
Head to head, the Blazers are 36-15 ATS in the last 51 meetings overall and 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Los Angeles.
You couldn't put your hard earned money on either team and feel too good about it, but the Blazers really did look great in their win on Friday, so I'm sticking with them to make it two wins in a row tonight.
