The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Philadelphia 76ers tonight at the Target Center.
The Timberwolves have lost six of their last seven games and are coming off a second straight loss, a 96-86 home defeat against the Pistons. Andrew Wiggins led the team with 21 points, Karl-Anthony Towns added 18 points and Zach LaVine added 14 points but the Wolves let themselves down on defense, especially in the second half where they were outscored 58-42. With the loss, Minnesota drops to 5-8 on the season and 0-6 at home, which is the second-worst start at home in franchise history.

Meanwhile, the 76ers came mighty close to claiming their first win of the season on Saturday, but they just couldn't hold onto an 11-point lead they held midway through the fourth quarter. Isaiah Canaan led the scoring with 22 points off the bench, Robert Covington added 21 points and Jahlil Okafor had 16 points and 11 rebounds, but the Sixers just couldn't hold off the Heat who dominated the second half by 64-44. With the loss, Philadelphia fall to 0-14 on the season
In ATS trends, the 76ers are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a losing record, while the Wolves are 25-9-1 ATS in their last 35 games following a double digit loss at home and 2-14 ATS in their last 16 home games.
I still can't believe the Wolves haven't been able to win a home game yet, but surely they get it together for 48 minutes and come out on top against the winless Sixers.
