Hawks-Celtics: The Hawks had dropped four of their last five games coming into last night’s game against the Celtics in Atlanta, but got a complete effort on the way to a nice 121-97 victory.
Paul Millsap put up 25 points here, while Jeff Teague managed 16. Atlanta went on an 18-3 run midway through the fourth that pretty much sealed the game.
Boston has lost three of their past four games. Avery Bradley led the team with 25 points.
Clippers-Nuggets: Wesley Johnson started for the Clippers last night against the Nuggets, and his presence on the floor gave the team a boost as they fought their way to a 111-94 win in Denver.
Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan each managed 18 points. Jordan had 11 rebounds and four blocks, while Griffin had 10 rebounds of his own.
L.A. made eight 3-pointers here, which will help boost their 31.3 percent average coming into the game.
Danilo Gallinari was the high man for Denver with 20 points and 18 rebounds, a career-high.
Warriors-Lakers: The Warriors made history last night, becoming the first team ever to start a season 16-0.
The decisive victory came against the Lakers 111-77 in a complete rout. Stephen Curry managed 24 points and nine assists, helping his team eclipse the 15-0 marks set by the ‘48-49 Capitols and the ‘93-94 Rockets.
Draymond Green had a great game too, putting up 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The Warriors have won 27 straight at home.
