December 1, 2015
The NBA continues to chug along into the new month, with six games coming up on tonight’s schedule. While we’re getting settled and awaiting tip-offs, let’s take our daily look at the headlines and key players from around the league.
Celtics-Heat: The Celtics came into last night’s game against the Heat in Miami with a three-game road losing streak. That came to an end, however, with a nice 105-95 victory. The Celtics were spurred on by Avery Bradley, who posted 25 points and logged a key turnover in the final minute.
Jared Sullinger was also big here, posting 17 points. Boston had all five starters in double-digit points, and Evan Turner had 13 in bench scoring.

Hawks-Thunder: The Hawks bagged a razor-close 106-100 victory last night in Atlanta over the Thunder, thanks to a huge effort from Jeff Teague. He scored 25 and hit some major buckets in the waning minutes.
The win would stop a four-game win streak for OKC, who got 34 points out of Russell Westbrook. He scored 17 of those in the fourth quarter alone.
Paul Millsap had a big effect on the boards with 11 rebounds and led the team with 26 points.
Warriors-Jazz: Stephen Curry showed off his scoring skills last night against the Jazz in Salt Lake City, scoring 10 of his 26 points in the final quarter to carry the Warriors to a 106-103 win.
The Jazz were close to stealing this one; it was very close all the way to the end.
That makes 19 straight victories to open the season for the Warriors; they’ve won 23 straight regular-season games in all.
Bulls-Spurs: Pau Gasol came up big for the Bulls last night, carrying them to a 92-89 victory over the Spurs with a double-double. He had 18 points with 13 rebounds and added in three blocks. Jimmy Butler helped out with 14 points; Doug McDermott had a nice night as well with a dozen of his own.
The loss halts the Spurs’ five-game win streak.
Kawhi Leonard led the team with 25 points and eight rebounds, while LaMarcus Aldridge put up 21 points with 12 boards.
