The Phoenix Suns invade the Verizon Center to take on the Washington Wizards tonight.
The Suns have lost six of their last seven and their last two straight after falling to the Pistons in a 127-122 shootout on Wednesday. Brandon Knight led the team with 22 points, Eric Bledsoe added 21, Jon Leuer added 20 and Mirza Teletovic and Devin Booker added 18 points each but it still wasn't enough to get past the Pistons in overtime. The Suns allowed the Pistons to shoot a healthy 50.6 percent from the field and just couldn't defend without fouling, sending the Pistons to the line 44 times to their 15. With the loss, Phoenix drops to 8-11 on the season and 3-6 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Wizards have lost five of their last six and showed just how inconsistent they have been, losing to the Lakers by 108-104 just after beating the Cavaliers in an upset. Against the 3-15 Lakers, John Wall had a monster game of 34 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists while Marcin Gortat had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, but the rest of team added little support as the Wizards lost to the Lakers who were coming off a loss to the previously winless 76ers. You just don't know what you're going to get from these Wizards.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Wizards are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight against the Western Conference.
Head to head, the Suns are 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings overall and 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in Washington.
The Wizards actually opened as slight favorites in this one, but the public has been all over the Suns and I think it's the right choice as the Wizards have been simply terrible lately.
