The Dallas Mavericks invade Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks tonight.
The Mavericks have won three of their last five and are coming off a 116-104 win at Washington thanks to some balanced scoring as six players finished in double figures. Wesley Matthews sunk 10 threes en route to a season-high 36 points, Dirk Nowitzki added 19 points while Deron Williams added 11 points and nine assists as the Mavs blew the Wizards away in a dominant 61-46 second half. As a team the Mavs looked as sharp as ever on offense, shooting 50 percent from the field and 16 of 31 from the 3-point line and this is without Chandler Parsons who will eventually find his way into the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, the Knicks were going for a third straight win on Saturday against the struggling Bucks but the Knicks really let themselves down with poor shooting and soft interior defense. Carmelo Anthony led the team with 18 points but shot just six of 17 while Lance Thomas chipped in with 17 points off the bench, but what really hurt the Knicks was that they allowed the Bucks to score 60 points in the paint compared to their 32 points. With the loss, New York falls back below .500 to 10-11 on the season and 5-5 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 4-0 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days rest and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall, while the Knicks are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the Mavs are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings in New York and the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
Be sure to check Carmelo's status before tipoff but he is currently expected to suit up tonight which would be a huge plus for the Knicks, however, I like the Mavs to take this win after what I saw from them in their last outing.
