The Memphis Grizzlies invade The Palace tonight to battle the Detroit Pistons.
The Grizzlies were going for their fourth win in five games last night, but they just didn't look like themselves in a 125-88 loss to the Thunder. Mario Chalmers led the team with 19 points off the bench while Marc Gasol and JaMychal Green added 11 points each but no other player finished in double figures as the game was over early as the Thunder exploded in a dominant 39-16 third quarter. The Grizzlies just had no answer for Kevin Durant who poured in 32 points or Russell Westbrook who scored 13 points and 16 assists. Coming off a thrilling win at the buzzer, you would expect more from the Grizzlies, but they just couldn't stop the Thunder.

Meanwhile, the Pistons were riding a four-game win streak into Charlotte on Monday, but were completely outplayed by the Hornets who beat them by 104-84. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the team with 16 points while Ersan Ilyasova added 15 points and 13 rebounds, but Andre Drummond had just nine points while battling foul trouble as the Pistons shot just 36.8 percent from the field. Reggie Jackson was surprisingly disappointing as he finished with just four points after averaging 27 points in his last four games which earned him the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award, but he should bounce back.
In ATS trends, the Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on zero days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, while the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 23-8 ATS in their last 31 home games.
Head to head, the Grizzlies are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Detroit.
Both teams are coming into this game with an identical 12-10 record, but the Grizzlies were so bad last night that I'm banking on them to bounce back and finish on top of what should be a close one.
