NBA Player Updates 12/20: The Latest News from Around the League, Tonight's TV Schedule and More

We’ve got a pretty solid day of NBA action ahead of us, with seven matchups on today’s schedule. Before that 1:00 PM ET action gets started, let’s visit some of the notable players and stats in the news.
Thunder-Lakers: OKC came out quick and set the tone in this matchup, outscoring L.A. 35-15 in the first quarter. They’d roll to an eventual 118-78 blowout.
Kevin Durant put up 22 points and eight boards here, while Russell Westbrook added 13 points and 11 assists.
The Lakers were without Kobe Bryant, who was sitting due to a sore right shoulder. Lou Williams led the team with 20 points, but the Lakers still lost for the 15th time in 17 games.

Knicks-Bulls: The Knicks were down 10 early on in their matchup against the Bulls last night, but quickly woke up and wore down Chicago for a 107-91 win.
Carmelo Anthony put up 27 points here, with Arron Afflalo racking 18 of his own. The Knicks are back to .500 at 14-14 now.
The Bulls simply didn’t have it in this game; they were coming off a 4-OT marathon loss to the Pistons.
Rockets-Clippers: Dwight Howard put together a signature game, helping the Rockets to a big 107-97 win over the visiting Clippers.
The big man had 22 points and 14 rebounds, helping his team to lead by as many as 26 points in the first half. Houston was up by a dozen after three quarters.
James Harden had a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists. Trevor Ariza scored 17 points.
On the other side, Blake Griffin led the Clips with 22.
Grizzlies-Pacers: Indiana coughed up 17 turnovers and had just 39 percent shooting from the field last night against the Grizzlies, leading to a 96-84 victory for Memphis.
Marc Gasol put up 19 points and 12 rebounds with six assists. Matt Barnes also doubled up with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Conley helped out as well with 20 points and eight assists.
Paul George shot just 8-of-22 from the field but still came up with 29 points to lead the Pacers.
