The New Orleans Pelicans travel to the AmericanAirlines Arena to battle the Miami Heat on Christmas Day.
The Pelicans have won three of their last four and will be looking for a third straight win after their 115-89 blowout victory over the Trailblazers on Wednesday. Anthony Davis led the team with 28 points, Tyreke Evans added 24 points with eight rebounds and nine assists while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 19 points off the bench as the Pelicans stormed out to a 53-36 lead at halftime before pulling away even further as the game went on. New Orleans has now won three of their last four at home but they're still only 9-19 on the season overall and 6-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Heat have won four of their last six overall but they'll be looking to atone for Tuesday's painful 93-92 home loss to the Pistons. Dwyane Wade had a nice game of 19 points while Hassan Whiteside double-doubled with 16 points and 16 rebounds, but with the game on the line, the ball went to Chris Bosh who missed on a wide open jumper at the buzzer which would have won the game. Miami actually jumped out to a 34-18 lead at the end of the first quarter but they just weren't able to get out to the Pistons' reserve players who combined for 11 of 19 from the 3-point arc. With the loss, Miami falls to 16-11 on the season and 12-6 at home.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a home winning record above .600 and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win of more than 10 points, while the Heat are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five home games and 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a loss.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 13-5-1 ATS in the last 19 meetings overall but just 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Miami.
The Pelicans are slowly but surely climbing their way up the rankings, but the Heat have been one of the more consistent teams in the league lately and I like their chances to win at home on Christmas Day.
