The Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks do battle at Madison Square Garden on Sunday afternoon.
The Hawks have won seven of their last eight games and will be feeling particularly good after rallying late to beat the Rockets by 121-115 back on Tuesday. Al Horford led the team with 30 points on 11 of 15 shooting, Kent Bazemore added 26 points while Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague had 22 points each as the Hawks recovered from a horror start that saw them fall behind by 41-25 after the first quarter to win. Defense was the key to the win as the Hawks allowed 71 points in the first half, but they dominated the second half by 65-44 to escape with the win and improve to 21-13 on the season and 9-7 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Knicks have shown glimpses of their potential at times this season, but their defense has deserted them lately as they're coming a 108-81 loss at Chicago, their fifth loss in six games. Carmelo Anthony led the team with 20 points, Jose Calderon added 18 points while Lance Thomas had 11 points but no other Knicks player finished in double figures as the Bulls dominated the first and fourth quarters by a combined 64-26. Kristaps Porzingis had one of his worst games of the season, finishing with just nine points on four of 14 shooting. New York is now 15-19 on the season and 7-11 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 5-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Knicks are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Hawks are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in New York.
The Knicks will want to break out of their funk in front of their home fans, but I can't see that happening against a Hawks team playing this well. Take Atlanta to win and cover on the road against a struggling Knicks team.
