The Dallas Mavericks pay a visit to the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center tonight.
The Mavericks were in danger of losing a third straight game, but managed to pull out a thrilling win last night, beating the Kings by 117-116 in double overtime. Dirk Nowitzki had a nice game of 23 points, Wesley Matthews had 20 points while JaVale McGee chipped in with 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, but with the game on the line, the Mavs turned to Deron Williams who sunk the game-winning 3-pointer to finish with 25 points for the game. With the inspirational win, Dallas improves to 20-15 on the season and 11-6 at home.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans had lost three of four before winning at Dallas by 105-98 on Saturday. Anthony Davis was predictably outstanding, leading the team with 31 points on 13 of 22 shooting but the also had plenty of support as Jrue Holiday added 20 points while Norris Cole, Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson all added 16 points each. With the win, New Orleans improved to 11-22 overall and 4-15 on the road.
