The Dallas Mavericks invade the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls tonight.
The Mavericks are in need of a win as they've lost three of their last four which includes a 108-89 defeat to the Thunder in their last outing. JJ Barea led hte scoring with 18 points and six assitss, Salah Mejri added 17 points off the bench while Raymond Felton had 14, but the Mavs were never in this game as they fell behind by 10 points after the first quarter and 23 points by halftime. Dirk Nowitzki, Zaza Pachulia and Deron Williams were all rested for this game but all are expected to be ready for tonight's game. Dallas is now 22-18 on the season and 11-11 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Bulls were able to snap a three-game skid with a hard-fought 115-111 overtime win at Philadelphia last night. The Bulls started sluggishly and found themselves down by as many as 24 points in the first half, but Jimmy Butler came to the rescue with a career-high 53 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Bulls avoided an embarrassing loss against the worst team in the league. Derrick Rose sat out the game while dealing with tendinitis in his left knee and his status for tonight is unclear. Chicago is now 23-15 on the season and 7-9 on the road.
