The New Orleans Pelicans play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Smoothie King Center.
The Pelicans headied into Memphis last night looking for a third straight win, but were left disappointed as they lost by 101-99 to the Grizzlies. Jrue Holiday led the scoring with 23 points, Anthony Davis had 21 points while Ryan Anderson added 14 off the bench, but it still wasn't enough to overcome the balanced attack of the Grizzlies. While the Pelicans have shown signs of life recently, they're still only 13-27 on the season overall and 5-18 on the road as they've lost seven of their last 10 games overall.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves will be feeling pretty good after snapping a season-worst nine-game losing streak with an impressive 117-87 win over the Suns on Sunday. Ricky Rubio and Andrew Wiggins led the team with 18 points each, but it was a real team effort as five more players finished in double digits. With the much-needed win, Minnesota improves to 13-29 on the season and 6-17 at home.
In ATS trends, the Wolves are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 7-17-1 ATS in their last 25 games overall, while the Pelicans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing without rest.
Head to head, the Wolves are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in New Orleans.
The Wolves looked great in their massive win last night, but I'm still taking the Pelicans at home as they're looking like a team on the rise and should be good enough to beat one of the worst teams in the league.
