The Houston Rockets invade the Talking Stick Resort Arena to battle the Phoenix Suns tonight.
The Rockets were able to snap an ugly three-game skid with a solid 115-102 win over the Heat on Tuesday. James Harden steered the offense with a game-high 26 points and 14 assists, Josh Smith added 19 points while Marcus Thornton had 18 off the bench as the Rockets took advantage of a shorthanded and struggling Heat team playing without the injured Hassan Whiteside. With the much-needed easy win, Houston improves to 26-25 on the season and 16-12 at home where they've won three of their last four.

Meanwhile, the Suns horrific season continued on Tuesday with a 104-97 loss to the Raptors, the Suns' fifth straight defeat and 11th in the last 12 games. Markieff Morris had a monster game of 30 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, Devin Booker added 27 points while Archie Goodwin had 18 points and 12 assists, but it still wasn't enough as the Suns once again couldn't defend without fouling, resulting in the Raptors enjoying 32 trips to the foul line. Despite the loss, it was somewhat of a moral victory for a Suns team playing under their new coach, Earl Watson.
In ATS trends, the Rockets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games following a win of more than 10 points, while the Suns are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games but just 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games overall.
Head to head, the Rockets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings in Phoenix.
There really is no reason why the Rockets should have any trouble beating the Suns by double digits here, but the Suns are under a new coach and looked pretty good in their last outing against a red-hot Raptors team, so I'm thinking this game could be a lot closer than it should be. Take the Suns with the points and then cross your fingers and look away.
