We’ve got a huge 10-game NBA schedule coming tonight, so there will be plenty of basketball to check out. While we’re waiting on those tip-offs, let’s visit some of the notable players and stats in the news right now.
Knicks-Pistons: The Knicks had a putrid first half against the Pistons last night, getting outscored 27-15 in the first quarter and 33-21 in the second. They miraculously overcame a 27-point lead to briefly take the lead in the fourth, however, but couldn’t hold on and skidded to a 111-105 loss.
Anthony Tolliver and Reggie Jackson combined for a trio of clutch 3-pointers in the final 1:47 which put the game away. Jackson would finish with 21 points overall.

Rockets-Suns: The Rockets put up a solid victory over the struggling Suns last night, starting of slowly but finishing strong for a 111-105 win.
Corey Brewer scored 24 points (a season-high), and Trevor Ariza had 22 here. Houston scored 38 points off 24 Suns turnovers and had 16 steals.
James Harden had an off-night. He scored 17 points, but shot just 4-of-19. Dwight Howard would add 16 rebounds.
Lakers-Pelicans: Don’t look now, but Kobe Bryant is playing like Kobe Bryant again. He logged 27 points and 12 rebounds, nailing three clutch 3-pointers in the final 6:05 of the game, to lead the Lakers past the Pelicans 99-96 in New Orleans last night.
Jrue Holiday had an attempt to tie the game at the buzzer, but missed on a 3-point attempt.
Anthony Davis put up 39 points and 11 rebounds, but the Pelicans still lost their third straight.
Raptors-Blazers: Up in Portland in last night’s late game, the Raptors were able to fend off the Blazers for a 110-103 road victory.
Kyle Lowry had 30 points, and DeMar DeRozan had 29, helping Toronto break a five-game win streak by Portland.
The Blazers backcourt also had a nice evening, as Damian Lillard posted 27 points and 11 assists, while C.J. McCollum had 21 points.
Toronto has lost just one of their last 14 and is cruising right now.
