TV:

We’ve got four early-afternoon games coming up in the NBA, then the league will get out of the way for the Super Bowl. Before we get going on those games, let’s check out some of the notable players and stats in the news.

Pistons-Pacers: The Pacers were up 20 points over the Pistons in the third quarter last night, and nearly blew it. They were able to hold on for a 112-104 victory, however, thanks to Paul George’s 30 points and eight rebounds.
Indy was up by just four with a little over a minute to play, but got key shots from Monta Ellis and George Hill which helped seal the victory.
Hill put up 17 points overall, while C.J. Miles had 10 off the bench.

Kyrie Irving scored 29 points here, while LeBron James added 27. The win comes after two straight losses for Cleveland.
James and Irving combined for a total of 17 points in the fourth quarter, which helped keep New Orleans at bay.
Anthony Davis scored 24 with 11 rebounds for the Pelicans.

Nets-Sixers: Any time the 76ers win a game, it’s news. That was the case last night in a battle of two NBA bottom-feeders against the Nets.
T.J. McConnell put up a career-high 17 points in the 103-98 victory, while Jahlil Okafor had 17 rebounds with his 22 points. Nerlins Noel had 18 points of his own.
Ish Smith was out for this one; he hurt his ankle on Friday.
It was the Sixers’ eighth win of the season.

Warriors-Thunder: The Warriors won their 41st straight home game last night, a 116-108 result over the visiting Thunder.
Stephen Curry had 26 points here and the team closed strong with a 12-4 run.
The Warriors are now 46-4, which is tied for the best 50-game start in NBA history with the 1966-67 Sixers.
Harrison Barnes had 19 points here and Klay Thompson had 18.
