We’ve got a long time to wait before we see any more meaningful NBA games (Thursday, to be exact), but there’s still plenty to talk about in the meantime. Let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there while we deal with our All-Star break blues.

Bucks-Wizards: Milwaukee goes into the All-Star break with a 99-92 victory over Washington that will give them a lift in the second half. Khris Middleton posted 27 points, while Giannis Anteokounmpo doubled up on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Middleton had 14 points and five assists in the fourth quarter alone. He was 9-of-17 overall.
John Wall had 15 points and 10 assists on the other side; Bradley Beal scored 19.

Thunder-Pelicans: OKC assistant coach Monty Williams’ wife Ingrid died yesterday from injuries sustained in a car accident, so basketball was a distant second in the minds of the Thunder. They were able to overcome their grief for a 121-95 victory over the Pelicans.
Kevin Durant posted 23 points, while Russell Westbrook nearly missed a triple-double with 23 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Serge Ibaka had 18 points.
Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday each had 23 points on the other side.

The Timberwolves’ Shabazz Muhammad is reportedly on the trade block, and he’s getting interest from several teams.
Boston, Phoenix, Portland and the Clippers have all contacted Minnesota to discuss the possibility of a trade, so we could see something developing over the coming days.

The Sixers’ Nerlens Noel will not participate in the All-Star Rising Stars activities, as he’s suffering from tendinitis in his right knee. He should be fine by the time the team resumes on February 19.
