The Cleveland Cavaliers pay a visit to the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center today.
The Cavaliers have won six of their last eight games but they've lost two of their last three including a 99-97 defeat at Toronto on Friday. LeBron James led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Kevin Love added 20 points while JR Smith had 13 as the Cavaliers dominated the Raptors for most of the game until Kyle Lowry put the team on his back and poured in a career-high 43 points to steal the game from the Cavs. With the disappointing loss, Cleveland falls to 41-16 overall which puts them just two games clear of Toronto for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, the Wizards have won four of their last six games and are coming off an easy 103-94 win over the league-worst 76ers. John Wall had a huge game of 23 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists, Jared Dudley added 14 points while Marcin Gortat had 12 as the Wizards snapped a three-game road losing streak to improve to 27-30 on the season, leaving them just 2.5 games out of eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.
In ATS trends, the Cavs are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss and 6-16-2 ATS in their last 24 games against a team with a losing record, while the Wizards are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the Cavs are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall but a healthy 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Washington.
The Wizards could easily pull off the minor upset in this meeting but I'm sticking with the Cavs who should come out with a level of urgency after the disappointment following their painful loss to the Raptors.
