The Charlotte Hornets and the Phoenix Suns tonight collide at the Time Warner Cable Arena on Tuesday.
The Suns have have won just three games since Dec 18, but they'll be looking for a second straight win tonight after taking down the Grizzlies in a 111-106 upset on Saturday. Alex Len led the team with a big double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds, Mirza Teletovic added 18 points, PJ Tucker had 17 points while Devin Booker had 15 as the Suns jumped all over the Grizzlies early in the game before holding on for a long overdue win, snapping a 13-game losing streak. It's important to note that the Grizzlies were playing on zero days rest, so you have to factor that into the win, but it was definitely positive to see the Suns come out with a level of intent and purpose after getting blown out by 40 points against the Clippers and then by 10 points against the Nets in the two games prior.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have won eight of their last 11 games but are coming off their second loss in three games following Sunday's 87-76 defeat at Atlanta. Marvin Williams led the scoring with 16 points while Jeremy Lin added 15 points off the bench, but the Hornets were always running uphill after falling behind by 25-9 after a horrific first quarter. Kemba Walker shot just three of 15 for his nine points after scoring 20 points or more in eight straight games so expect him to bounce back with a big game on Tuesday against the Suns.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 15-32 ATS in their last 47 games overall and 6-20 ATS in their last 26 road games, while the Hornets are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the Suns are 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Chicago.
The Suns showed plenty of fight in their last upset win over the Grizzlies, but the Hornets have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league lately and should have little trouble beating this Suns team who have nothing to play for.
