The Washington Wizards and the Minnesota Timberwolves do battle tonight at the Target Center.
The Wizards have won six of their last eight games and their last three straight after taking down the 76ers in a 116-108 win on Monday. John Wall led the way with 37 points and seven assists, Marcin Gortat added 18 points, 20 rebounds and five assists while Markieff Morris had 16 points, 13 rebounds and five assists as the Wizards rallied late to sneak past the 76ers and avoid an embarrassing loss. With the win, Washington improves to 29-30 on the season which has them 1.5 games behind Detroit for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves are mired right near the bottom of the Western Conference with a record of 19-41 and they don't look interested in climbing up the standings as they've now lost 11 of their last 16 games following Sunday's 128-101 loss at Dallas. Shabazz Muhammad had a nice game of 24 points off the bench, Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 15 points while Ricky Rubio had 14, but the Wolves were always running uphill after falling behind by 39-24 after the first quarter. As a team, the Wolves shot just 37 percent from the field while allowing the Mavs to put up their second highest point total of the season.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a win, while the Wolves are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games.
Head to head, the Wizards are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Minnesota but the favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall.
This is definitely a tricky one to predict as you just don't know what you're going to get from the Wolves, so I'm just going to stick with the Wizards who definitely have more to play for as they're currently outside the playoff picture looking in.
