The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.
The Nets are ranked second last in the Eastern Conference with nothing to play for, but they've actually split their last 12 games and are coming off a thrilling 121-120 overtime win at Denver. Markel Brown led the scoring with 21 points, Bojan Bogdanovic added 17 points while Thaddeus Young had 16, but with the game on the line, it was actually Brook Lopez who stole the game with a tip-in with just 0.4 seconds left in the game to finish with 20 points. With the win, Brooklyn improves to 18-44 overall and 7-22 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have lost six of their last eight games and were soundly beaten by the Bucks in a 116-101 loss on Friday. Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 21 points, Zach LaVine added 20 points while Shabazz Muhammad had 17 but the Wolves just had no answer for the Bucks' Khris Middleton who nailed eight 3-pointers en route to a game-high 32 points. Minnesota has now lost four of their last five road games to fall to 9-22 on the road and 19-43 on the season overall.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Wolves are 11-27-1 ATS in their last 39 home games and 7-21 ATS in their last 28 games playing against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the Nets are 6-17 ATS in the last 23 meetings overall and 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Minnesota.
The Nets have a poor record ATS when playing the Wolves but they've been playing some inspired basketball lately and perhaps for the first time this season, I'm feeling good about their chances of winning a game.
