The Utah Jazz travel to the Smoothie King Center to take on the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Jazz have been struggling lately with eight losses in their last 10 games and they'll be eager to snap a five-game skid after losing at Memphis by 94-88 on Friday. Gordon Hayward led the way with 18 points, Derrick Favors added 14 points while Rudy Gobert had 13 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks but it didn't count for anything as the Jazz went ice-cold in the 27-16 fourth quarter dominated by the Grizzlies. Utah have now lost their last six road games to fall to 9-21 on the road and 28-33 overall so they have some work to do if they want to make up the two-game margin between them and Houston who curently occupy the eighth spot in the Western standings.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans have lost four of their last five games and are coming off a 94-86 loss at home to the Spurs. Eric Gordon led the scoring with 23 points while Anthony Davis added 17 points and 13 rebounds, but the Pelicans were unable to score a single point in the last 3:34 of the fourth quarter and it cost them the game as the Spurs ran away with it. With the disappointing loss, New Orleans drop to 23-37 on the season which is only good enough for 12th place in the Western Conference. In injury news, Alexis Ajinca has been ruled out for tonight with a fractured sternum, while Omer Asik has been upgraded to questionable.
In ATS trends, the Jazz are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 games playing on zero days rest and 0-5 ATS in their last five road games, while the Pelicans are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a losing road record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against the Western Conference.
Head to head, the Jazz are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in New Orleans and the road team is 5-2-2 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.
Neither team are coming into this game with much form to speak of so it's hard to predict a winner here. However, the Pelicans did win the last meeting between these teams by 100-96 back on Feb 10 behind 21 points from Jrue Holiday and I'm predicting a similar result, especially after the way the Pelicans almost took down the red-hot Spurs in their last outing.
