The Detroit Pistons travel to the American Airlines Center to battle the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
The Pistons have won five of their last seven games and will be full of confidence following Sunday's 123-103 rout of the red-hot Trailblazers. Reggie Jackson broke out of his shooting slump with a game-high 30 points and nine assists, Marcus Morris added 19 points while Tobias Harris and Kenatavious Caldwell-Pope had 16 points each as the Pistons jumped all over the Trailblazers early and cruised to a massive win. Detroit is now 32-31 overall which leaves them just half a game behind Chicago for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks have been in a bit of a rut and will be looking to avoid a fourth straight loss after getting thumped by the Clippers by 109-90 on Monday. Dirk Nowitzki led the team with 22 points on nine of 19 shooting while David Lee added 13 points and eight rebounds in just 16 minutes off the bench, but the Mavs just couldn't make a shot coming out of halftime and were absolutely run off the court by the Clippers to the score of 59-38 in the second half. With the loss, Dallas is now level with Portland with a record of 33-31 overall which means they're in real danger of losing that sixth spot in the Western Conference.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Mavs are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Pistons are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the road team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings.
The Mavs really need to get a move on if they want to climb up the standings, but they're still having trouble getting out of second gear and it has been costing them so I'm going with the in-form Pistons to come into town and come away with the minor upset tonight.
