The Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers collide at the Staples Center on Tuesday.
The Lakers have lost 12 of their last 15 games and will be looking to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Knicks by 90-87 on Sunday. Louis Williams led the team in scoring with 15 points off the bench while Kobe Bryant added 14 points on five of 15 shooting, but with the game tied in the last seconds of the game, it was the Knicks' Jose Calderon who snatched the victory with a clutch three-pointer to spoil the Lakers' party. With the loss, Los Angeles falls to 14-53 on the season, but they've been playing better than their record suggests as they've split their last four games which includes a massive win over the Warriors.

Meanwhile, the Kings have lost nine of their last 10 games and they'll be eager to snap their current five-game skid after falling to the Jazz by 108-99 on Sunday. DeMarcus Cousins returned from a one-game suspension to lead the team with 31 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Omri Casspi added 20 points while Darren Collison had 14, but the Kings were always running uphill after falling behind by 36-18 after the first quarter. The loss doesn't really hurt the Kings as they're almost no chance of making the playoffs, but it was good to see Cousins back on the court after getting suspended by the team.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games and 5-17 ATS in their last 22 games overall, while the Lakers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against the Western Conference.
Head to head, the Kings are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the road team is 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings.
The Lakers are supposed to be tanking their way to help their chances in the upcoming NBA lottery, but they've actually been quite competitive lately as the Warriors found out, so I'm taking LA at home to put on a show and come out with a narrow win.
