The Cleveland Cavaliers invade the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.
The Cavaliers haven't exactly hit top gear yet, but they've won nine of their last 12 games thanks to big contributions from the usual suspects. LeBron James has been averaging 25.1 points, 8.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game during the month of March, while Kyrie Irving is averaging 21.5 points and 4.6 assists, but the Cavs are still waiting on Kevin Love to find his groove in the offense as he's shot just 37.2 percent from the field during the month, averaging just 13.6 points and 8.5 rebounds. As of today, Cleveland are sitting atop the Eastern Conference standings with a narrow 1.5 game lead over Toronto, so they'll need to keep winning to maintain the top seed in the East.

Meanwhile, the Nets have lost seven of their last eight games and are in danger of losing a fourth straight following Tuesday's 105-100 loss to the Hornets. Brook Lopez had a massive game of 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Sean Kilpatrick added 25 points off the bench while Bojan Bogdanovic had 20 as the Nets fought back from a 17-point deficit in the third quarter only to fall short in a shootout in the fourth quarter. With the loss, Brooklyn drops to 19-51 on the season and 12-24 at home.
In ATS trends, the Cavs are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall and 9-20-2 ATS in their last 31 games against a team with a losing record, while the Nets are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games against a team above .600 and 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the Cavs are 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Brooklyn.
The Cavs are coming into this game fresh off an easy win over the young Bucks, but once again they had trouble playing against the size of the Bucks in the paint and I think the Nets will go to Lopez early and often to exploit that weakness.
