The Charlotte Hornets play host to the Brooklyn Nets at the Time Warner Cable Arena on Friday.
The Nets have lost 13 of their last 16 games and they'll be looking to snap a six-game losing streak after falling to the Wizards by 121-103 on Wednesday. Thomas Robinson led the scoring with 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, Sean Kilpatrick added 15 points off the bench while Wayne Ellington added 14 points but it still wasn't enough to stay with the Wizards who dominated the second half by 67-51 behind 25 points from Bradley Beal. With the loss, Brooklyn drops to 21-57 on the season and 7-32 on the road which is why they are second last in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have won 16 of their last 21 games and they'll be feeling pretty good after putting a halt to a two-game skid with an easy 111-97 win over the Knicks on Wednesday. Kemba Walker shook off a poor shooting performance against the Raptors in his last outing to pour in seven 3-pointers en route to 34 points while Al Jefferson added 24 points off the bench as the Hornets made light work of the lowly Knicks. With the win, Charlotte improves to 45-33 on the season which is currently good for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings, but they'll be eager to finish the regular season strong as there is only one game splitting four teams from third to sixth.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 0-8 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Hornets are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a win of more than 10 points and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Nets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings in Charlotte and the road team is 5-1 ATS in the lsat six meetings overall.
In terms of playoff implications, there is just too much on the line for the Hornets to take the lowly Nets lightly, so I'm backing them to come out firing and win easily at home against a Nets team who have lost all of their last six games by double digits.
