The San Antonio Spurs play host to the Memphis Grizzlies tonight in Game 2 at the AT&T Center.
The Grizzlies were always major underdogs to cause the Spurs much trouble in this series and that's exactly what we saw in Game 1 on Sunday. Vince Carter led the team with a nice game of 16 points on six of seven shooting while Lance Stephenson added 14 points, but no other player finished in double figures as this game was over early as the Grizzlies fell behind by 30 points going into the fourth quarter. With the littany of injuries the Grizzlies had to endure over the regular season, it has been Zach Randolph who shouldered most of the scoring load but he had just six points on Sunday and they'll need more from him to just stay competitive.

Meanwhile, the Spurs will be delighted with their performance on Sunday as they put together one of the most clinical wins of the playoffs so far. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 20 points, LaMarcus Aldridge added 17 points while Tony Parker and Patty Mills chipped in with 15 points apiece but the Spurs were even more impressive on the defensive end where they suffocated the Grizzlies, holding them to just 39 percent shooting and a total of just 51 points after three quarters of play before easing off in the fourth quarter with the game won.
In ATS trends, the Grizzlies are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Conference Quarterfinals games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, while the Spurs are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.
Head to head, the Grizzlies are 2-4 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the over is 6-3 in the last nine meetings in San Antonio.
We saw the Spurs dominate the Grizzlies on both ends of the floor in Game 1 and I don't really know how the Grizzlies will be able to turn the series around as they just don't have the talent on their roster to trouble a complete team like the Spurs. It's definitely a hefty spread, but I'm sticking with the well-oiled machine that is the Spurs.
