The Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks meet Thursday night in game three at the American Airlines Center.
The Oklahoma City Thunder look for a bounce back win after dropping game two as a double-digit favorite. The Oklahoma City Thunder are averaging 96 points on 39 percent shooting and allowing 77.5 points on 36.1 percent shooting. Kevin Durant is averaging 22 points and seven rebounds while Russell Westbrook is averaging 21.5 points and 8.5 assists. Serge Ibaka is grabbing 8.5 rebounds and Dion Waiters is dishing 1.5 assists. The Oklahoma City Thunder are shooting 28.4 percent from beyond the arc and 84.8 percent from the free throw line. The Dallas Mavericks look for a bounce back performance after getting dominated in their game one loss. The Dallas Mavericks are averaging 77.5 points on 36.1 percent shooting and allowing 96 points on 39 percent shooting. Dirk Nowitzki is averaging 17.5 points and four rebounds while Wesley Matthews is averaging 6.5 points and one assist. Deron Williams is dishing four assists and Salah Mejri is grabbing 3.5 rebounds. The Dallas Mavericks are shooting 24.3 percent from beyond the arc and 57.8 percent from the free throw line. The Mavericks are allowing 24.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 39 rebounds per game. The Dallas Mavericks have split their last eight home games. Jose Barea, David Lee and Deron Williams are questionable.
The Thunder continue to be a hit or miss offensively due to them relying way too much on Durant and Westbrook to bail them out. The older Mavs also have no choice but to slow the game down and kind of grind things out in order to have a shot of even staying in this series. While I don't expect another game two where both teams are in the 80s, this total is certainly a tad bit too high.
I'm siding with the under in this spot.
