The Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets do battle tonight in Game 5 at the Oracle Arena.
The Warriors were able to take a commanding 3-1 series lead after crushing the Rockets by 121-94 in Game 4 on Sunday. Klay Thompson poured sunk seven 3-pointers en route to 23 points, Andre Igoudala chipped in with a quick-fire 22 points in just 24 minutes off the bench while Draymond Green added 18 points with eight rebounds and six assists as the Warriors dominated the second half by 65-38 despite playing without Stephen Curry who sprained his knee late in the first half and did not return. It was a great win for the Warriors who rallied together and lifted their intensity to blow out the Rockets in the absence of their MVP, but the bottom line is that they will be without Curry for the remainder of this series as he won't even be re-evaluated for another two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Rockets will be kicking themselves after allowing the Warriors to blow them out in what was a golden opportunity to steal a win. Dwight Howard had a very strong game of 19 points with 15 rebounds, Michael Beasley chipped in with 17 points off the bench while James Harden had a near triple-double of 18 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists, but the Rockets lost this game in the third quarter where they were outscored by an amazing 41-20. For one reason or another, the Rockets just came out of the halftime break with no sense of urgency at all despite the game being locked up at 56-56.
In ATS trends, the Rockets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 Conference Quarterfinals games, while the Warriors are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the Rockets are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings and the under is 5-2 in the last seven games overall.
The Rockets need to win this game or their season is all over, but I just don't see them upsetting the Warriors at the Oracle Arena where they're always so tough to beat. Yes, the Warriors will be without Curry, but that didn't seem to hurt them too much in Game 4. Take the Warriors to win this game by double digits and advance to the next round.
