The Portland Trailblazers and the Los Angeles Clippers do battle tonight in Game 6 at the Moda Center.
The Trailblazers were able to take a 3-2 series lead with a hard-fought 108-98 win in Game 4 on Wednesday night. CJ McCollum led the charge with a game-high 27 points on nine of 18 shooting, Damian Lillard added 22 points while Maurice Harkless added 19 points as the Blazers took advantage of the shorthanded Clippers who were without their top two scoring options in Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. The Blazers started slow and actually found themselves down going into halftime, but they rallied in the second half and outscored the Clippers by 63-48 to come away with the big win.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will be feeling the pressure now that they're just one game away from elimination. Coach Rivers needed to inject some offense into the lineup with Paul and Griffin out with injuries, so he went with Austin River and Jamal Crawford but it just didn't work out. JJ Redick led the team in scoring with 19 points, Jamal Crawford and Jeff Green added 17 points each while DeAndre Jordan had 16 points but it wasn't enough for the Clippers to overcome the loss of their two best players. Look for coach Rivers to go with a different lineup, but it'll be the same gameplan as the Clippers will likely run their offense through Crawford again who shot just six of 23 in Game 5 but is capable of exploding on any given night.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games following a double digit loss at home and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, while the Blazers are 7-18-2 ATS in their last 27 Conference Quarterfinals games and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games against a team with a winning road record.
Head to head, the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the over is 13-6-2 in the last 21 meetings in Portland.
The Clippers will be desperate to stay alive in the series with an upset win tonight, but I just don't see it happening as the Blazers have all the momentum in the series and they'll look to go for the kill, now that they smell blood. Take the Blazers to come out firing and finish off the series with a big win at home.
