The Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets battle in Game 7 tonight at the AmericanAirlines Arena.

The Heat were able to avoid elimination in Game 6 with a hard-fought 97-90 win at Charlotte on Friday. Dwyane Wade led the charge on both ends of the court, finishing with a team-high 23 points, Luol Deng added 21 points while Goran Dragic had 14 as the Heat delivered the Hornets just their 11th loss of the season at home. Defensively, the Heat were even better as they held the Hornets to just 42.1 percent shooting and they dominated the rebounding by 46-31. There was a lot to like about the win especially as Wade poured on 10 points in the fourth quarter and put the team on his back, so the Heat will be very confident of advancing to the next round.

Meanwhile, the Hornets had won three straight in the series but they fell just short in Game 6 despite a playoff-high 37 points from Kemba Walker. Al Jefferson added 18 points while Cody Zeller had 12, but the Hornets needed more from Jeremy Lin who shot just one of eight for his eight points. The Hornets also needed more from Marvin Williams who scored 17 points in Game 5, but for the third time in the series he finished scoreless. Walker jacked up 30 field goal attempts in Game 6 and he'll be asked to shoot 40 but it won't be enough unless role players like Lin or Williams contribute as well.

In ATS trends, the Hornets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a loss and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Conference Quarterfinals games, while the Heat are 8-1 ATS in their last nine home games and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 Conference Quarterfinals games.

Head to head, the over is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Miami and the 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Heat stole all the momentum with their impressive win in Game 6 and I'm tipping them to do that again. Kemba Walker is going to have another big night but I just don't think it will be enough not after what I saw from the Heat just then. Take Miami to pull away late to get the win and cover for this decider.
