The Portland Trailblazers and the Golden State Warriors do battle in Game 4 at the Moda Center on Monday.
The Trailblazers were able to establish a foothold in the series with an impressive 120-108 win over the Warriors in Game 3 on Saturday. Al-Farouq Aminu had a great game of 23 points on eight of nine shooting while CJ McCollum added 22 points with four assists, but this win was all about Damian Lillard who drained a total of eight 3-pointers to finish with 40 points along with 10 assists. As a team, the Blazers shot 46.5 percent from the field and 17 of 30 from the 3-point line in easily the best shooting game of the series.
USA TODAY Sports
As for the Warriors, Draymond Green drained a career-best eight 3-pointers to finish with 37 points, nine rebounds and eight assists while Klay Thompson had 35 points of his own, but no other Warriors player scored more than 10 points as the Warriors were once again without Stephen Curry who is currently listed as a game-time decision for Game 4. If Curry is unable to suit up, the Warriors need someone to step up and I'm looking at Andre Igoudala who scored just one point on Saturday despite playing 30 minutes off the bench.
In ATS trends, the Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last six Conference Semifinals games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall, while the Blazers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight Conference Semifinals games and 0-7 ATS in their last seven after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
Head to head, the Warriors are 20-7 ATS in the last 27 meetings and 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Portland.
If Curry is unable to suit up for the Warriors, I think the Blazers will be good enough to level the series on the back of another massive night from Lillard who seems to enjoy the challenge of playing the Warriors. I have this game being tightly contested from start to finish with the Blazers pulling away late in the game, but let's take the free points for safety.
