The Phoenix Suns pay a visit to the Portland Trailblazers in Friday preseason action.
The Phoenix Suns will be looking to get back in the win column after a 104-99 defeat to visiting Utah on Wednesday. A strong opening quarter by the Jazz was the difference with the teams playing about even the rest of the way. The main difference was the Suns struggling at both ends of the floor with Utah sinking shots at 49% while the Suns hit at just over 38% with 26 more looks at the basket keeping things competitive. Five players scored in double figures led by Brandon Knight with 17 points followed by TJ Warren with 15 points and six pulls on a team best 7-12 shooting. Devin Booker gave Phoenix 12 points before fouling out in 21 minutes while Eric Bledsoe and Marquese Chriss added eleven points apiece.

The Portland Trailblazers shoot for another win after knocking off the Jazz 98-89 on Monday night. This game was decided on the third period where the Trailblazers broke open a two point game with a 27-17 burst. Portland had five players reach double figures in scoring with Damian Lillard posting a team high 16 points on 6-12 from the floor with Allen Crabbe right on his heels with 15 points on a 6-9 effort. Shabazz Napier and CL McCollum gave the Blazers eleven points apiece while Maurice Harkless chipped in with ten points.
