The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers meet in a NBA preseason game Thursday night at the T-Mobile Arena.
The Sacramento Kings are 1-2 in preseason action with their lone win coming Monday against Maccabi Haifa. The Kings have had issues putting the ball through the hoop in their first two games but are coming off a game in which they shot 67.1 percent from the field and made 10 threes. DeMarcus Cousins has 45 points and 16 rebounds in three games while Rudy Gay has 22 points and nine assists. Ty Lawson has produced 20 points and 11 assists in his last two games and Darren Collison has 13 points and five assists in 28 minutes of play. The Sacramento Kings have shown flashes of turning the corner, but need to find leaders and some consistency overall. The Kings continue to feel like an individually talented team that will be hit or miss.

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a 2-2 preseason start and make the T-Mobile Arena their home the next couple of games. The good news for the Lakers is that the offense has been sharp, as Los Angeles has topped 100 points in three of its four games and is coming off a game against the Trail Blazers in which they made eight threes. D'Angelo Russell has 66 points and nine assists in his last three games while Julius Randle has 29 points and 17 rebounds in his last two games. Timofey Mozgov scored 11 points in 16 minutes against Portland and Nick Young has 34 points and eight rebounds in three preseason games. The Los Angeles Lakers look like a respectable team that’s starting to grow up in the preseason. Hopefully, for the NBA’s sake, the Lakers can play this exciting and consistent in the regular season.
The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss and the under is 4-1 in Kings last 5 overall. The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Kings are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Los Angeles and 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings overall.
The Lakers are starting to get some impressive play out of their young guys and you can slowly see the confidence building. The Lakers don't look like the same team from last season with a lot of these players more comfortable. The Kings continue to be hit or miss and can often stink up the joint. The Lakers and the small line is a solid pick here.
