The Cleveland Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls play a NBA preseason game Friday night at the United Center.
The Cleveland Cavaliers play the rare preseason back-to-back after losing to the Toronto Raptors on Thursday, 94-119. The Cavs shot 41 percent from the field and turned the ball over 21 times in a game in which LeBron James took the day off due to rest. Kyrie Irving has 28 points and 11 assists in 41 minutes of preseason action while Kevin Love is coming off his best game in which he had 19 points and five rebounds. Tristan Thompson has 21 preseason minutes under his belt and Jordan McRae has scored double-digit points in three of the Cavs four games. The Cleveland Cavaliers are the defending champions and know their rotation, so preseason isn’t as big as it is to the rest of the NBA. The Cavs key players will continue to monitor their minutes and stay fresh for the regular season.

The Chicago Bulls are off to a 1-2 preseason start and will play for the first time in six days. The Bulls are coming off a win over the Indiana Pacers in which they shot 51.3 percent from the field and made 10 threes. Dwyane Wade has produced 32 points and 11 assists in his last two games while Jimmy Butler has 32 points and seven rebounds in 54 minutes. Taj Gibson is coming off a game in which he scored 20 points in 20 minutes and Bobby Portis has 21 rebounds and 15 points in three preseason games. The Chicago Bulls offense has found their groove in their last two games, topping 100 points in each contest and combining for 16 made threes. It’ll be interesting to see if the Chicago Bulls can keep up this offensive performances given the lack of outside shooting.
The Cavaliers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Bulls are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Friday games and the over is 3-1-1 in Bulls last 5 overall. The Cavaliers are 7-19 ATS in the last 26 meetings and the under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
Not sure who and who isn't playing for the Cavs, but this is a ton of points to give up in a preseason game. The Bulls haven't exactly been lighting it up in preseason play either. I'll take the Cleveland Cavaliers and the points here, especially if LeBron plays 20 minutes or so.
