The Boston Celtics look for a strong performance at TD Garden when the Brooklyn Nets visit for an NBA basketball preseason tilt.
The Brooklyn Nets just faced these same Boston Celtics on Thursday and came away with a 100-97 defeat as a five point home dog. This was tight throughout with Brooklyn scoring a 28-23 advantage in the final period to make things exciting. Boston held a slight 41.7%-38% shooting edge but Brooklyn hit a few more threes which made this a close contest. The Nets received 14 points, eleven rebounds and five assists from Luis Scola with Jeremy Lin following with 12 points and seven helpers. Brook Lopez and Trevor Booker gave Brooklyn eleven points apiece with Booker hauling in 12 rebounds while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added ten more points.

I would think with the regular season approaching every player will be giving 100% to grab a roster spot and that looked to be the case in the Boston Celtics 119-107 victory at the New York Knicks on Saturday. There were no wild swings but Boston just pulled further and further away each period. The Knicks didn’t shoot all that poorly at nearly 46% with an 11-27 mark on threes but that didn’t compare to the Celtics red hot 60% accuracy and 13-26 performance from distance. Boston had seven DD scorers with RJ Hunter scoring 17 on 6-8 with Avery Bradley tossing in 15 while Al Horford and Jaylen Brown added 12 points each. Jae Crowder and Marcus Smart gave the Celtics eleven points apiece while Demetrius Jackson chipped in with ten.
The Nets are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall and the Nets are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games while the Nets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 3 or more days rest. The under is 6-1 in Celtics last 7 overall and is 13-3 in Celtics last 16 games playing on 1 days rest while going 11-5 in Celtics last 16 home games.
The Celtics seem to be playing hard and preparing for the regular season and hopefully maintain that attitude.
