The Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder meet Tuesday night in a NBA preseason game at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Denver Nuggets are 3-3 in preseason play and will play their final road exhibition game. In the Nuggets win over the Trail Blazers, Denver shot 45.1 percent from the field and made 12 threes. Wilson Chandler has scored double-digit points in four straight games while Will Barton has 28 points and 11 assists in his last two games. Jusuf Nurkic has 43 points and 33 rebounds in his last three games while Nikola Jokic has 40 rebounds in five games. The Denver Nuggets continue to get quality play out of their young players and seem like they’re growing up during the preseason. The Nuggets will be a team to watch early in the regular season, as Denver has some intriguing talent that could make this a surprise team.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are 2-3 in preseason play and will play their final exhibition game here. In the Thunder’s win over the Timberwolves, OKC shot 50 percent from the field and turned the ball over 19 times. Russell Westbrook is coming a game in which he had 26 points and 10 assists while Steven Adams has 27 points and 12 rebounds in 32 preseason minutes. Victor Oladipo has double-digit points in three of five games ad Andre Roberson has seven steals in three games. The Oklahoma City Thunder still that have flair and explosiveness to them with the ability to put the ball through the hoop. The Thunder will also be a team to watch early considering they open the season with seven of their first 10 games at home.
The Nuggets are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win. The Thunder are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Tuesday games. The Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Oklahoma City and 2-6-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings overall.
The Thunder are the better team overall obviously, but they haven't exactly done well in terms of winning in the preseason. Westbrook and others are only going to play so much in these games. The Denver Nuggets have been more consistent and have more to prove in exhibition play. I'll take the Denver Nuggets and the free buckets if forced to play.
