The Golden State Warriors have won four straight preseason games and are playing their last road exhibition here. In the Warriors previous win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State shot 54.3 percent from the field and made 10 threes. Kevin Durant has scored 17 or more points in four straight games and Stephen Curry has has knocked down 10 threes in five preseason games. Klay Thompson has 52 points and six assists in his last three games while Zaza Pachulia has 23 points and 17 rebounds in his last three games. Even in the preseason, the Golden State Warriors are showing just how deadly they can be and how much depth they have on their team overall. The Warriors are as regular season ready as any team in the NBA right now.
USA TODAY Sports
The Los Angeles Lakers are 2-4 in preseason play and could use a confidence booster with a win here. In the loss to the Warriors, the Lakers shot 42.9 percent from the field and made nine threes. Timofey Mozgov has 25 points and 12 rebounds in his last three games while Jordan Clarkson has produced 12 or more points in all five preseason games. Brandon Ingram is coming off his best performance in which he had 12 points and three assists wole Nick Young has 54 points in his last four games. The Los Angeles Lakers have been competitive in preseason action and are getting great play out of guys like Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell. While the Lakers may be a couple of years away and are still too young, they have a chance to be an exciting team to watch in 2016-17.
The under is 5-1-1 in Warriors last 7 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 3 or more days rest and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games. The Warriors are 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings and the under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.
We took the over when these two teams played earlier and it sailed over the total with ease. Both the Lakers and Warriors have shown the ability to put the ball in the hoop and haven't been interested much in playing defense. I look for another lights out shooting night and for the over to hit yet again.
